The Ofsted report concludes that English Bicknor Primary School is a positive and safe environment in which to learn and in which good relationships with adults and peers are developed.

This smaller than the average size primary school, has gone through a period of considerable change during the last few years  including changes in staff and a large increase in pupil numbers.

Attainment in year 6 is high and children with special educational needs are  taught and supported well

Teaching is described as good by the Inspector, with teachers working very hard and dealing well with a wide ability range of children. Teaching assistants make a valuable contribution to the pupils’ learning.

The Head teacher and staff have established good relationships with pupils and have created a positive climate for learning. Pupils feel safe and form good relationships. Their behaviour is good and they show respect for each other.

Staff and Governors have a clear overview of the schools performance which is focused on raising pupil achievement.

Children’s behaviour is good with spiritual, moral, social and cultural development well promoted. Children show respect for each other, for staff and for visitors to school.
